Gardening and crime don't really sound like they go together, but when faced with an overbearing government bureaucracy anything is possible. This video is a prime example of what happens when the government gets out of control and the corporate grocery industry has it's tentacles around the local city politicians. Julie Bass was fined and charged with a misdemeanor for planting an organic garden in her front yard.

  1. Go to court. No chance you will lose.
Just bring pictures of those over grown yards.

so if it is so unsuitable them maybe everyone should take a stand and start planting their own veggies!

  3. Common....then everyones yard has to be the same? Its peoples yards that aren't mowed that I cant stand, or have vehicles that are parked on them with oil stains all over the place and balding grass that I cant stand, but a garden? I think Gardens are cool. In the city I live in a lady has a garden on the side of her house which can be seen from main street. Our town hasn't gave her problems over it. This is ridiculous!! Shame be on that city for bothering a woman fro growing her own food.
