The establishment at the GOP has turned on Trump and tried to get him to “tone down” his opinions because they rock the boat and upset the status quo. Despite this, it was revealedyesterday that Trump is currently the frontrunner among GOP candidates in the presidential race.

This week, Trump sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, and during the interview he addressed an issue that he had once been very passionate about: Obama’s birth certificate.

When Cooper first asked Trump about the certificate, he first tried to deflect the subject.

“Honestly, I don’t want to get into it,” Trump said. “I’m about jobs, I’m about the military, I’m about doing the right thing for this country.”

Cooper, however, pressed Trump and asked him if he still believes Obama was not born in the U.S.

“I don’t know. I really don’t know,” Trump replied. “I don’t know why he wouldn’t release his records.”

Trump went on to remind Cooper that Hillary Clinton was also a birther once, and that she demanded Obama release his records as well. Trump ended up doing what she couldn’t, and succeeded in getting Obama to “reveal something,” even if they were not his real records.

After saying this, however, Trump moved the subject away from Obama. He made it clear he’s tired of talking about our current president, since he doesn’t deserve any more of our attention.
